Quick sketches

Sometimes it is more beneficial to make sketches of individual landscape subjects, such as a tree, some figures or an animal, rather than a complete landscape, as these can help you to understand their characteristics and structure. In fact, making a few quick studies now and again can provide you with variety and inspiration, and you are then more likely to feel positive about your progress.
